DUBAI, 30th April, 2025 (WAM) -- The Emirates Humanitarian Youth Council held a Youth Circle as part of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD), highlighting the importance of strengthening the role of youth in humanitarian volunteer efforts and empowering them to contribute positively and effectively in humanitarian, and developmental programs, especially during crises and natural disasters.
The session was attended by a number of officials and volunteers, led by Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Deputy Secretary-General for Local Affairs at the Emirates Red Crescent, and Mohamed Al Hosani, Director of Programs at the Emirates Foundation.
The discussion focused on the national and ethical responsibilities borne by Emirati youth in creating a tangible impact in the lives of millions of people across various continents-reflecting the UAE's civilizational and humanitarian mission to extend a helping hand, support those in need, provide relief to the afflicted, and stand by those affected by conflicts and crises.
Participants also discussed the importance of channeling youth volunteer efforts into sustainable, institutionalised humanitarian work at the local, regional, and international levels, in alignment with the UAE's inspiring vision of community development and global well-being.
The session emphasised deepening the values of generosity and giving, and promoting the noble principles of volunteerism in a way that ensures knowledge exchange, skill development, and capacity building-ultimately maximising the humanitarian impact for the good and happiness of all humanity.
